Crisfield Fishing

with Tony O'Brien

Salt water fishing on a charter boat on the Chesapeake Bay is both fun and exciting, especially in the waters near Crisfield, Maryland.  Known as the “crab capital of the world” many local and migratory fishes populate these waters giving anglers chances at spots, croakers, trout, sea bass, rockfish, drum, flounder, and the like.

I started Crisfield Fishing to locate other sportsmen who want to fish during the week on a charter boat, but cannot get a group together. I work weekends so I miss the trips. Also the waters seem to have fewer boats on them during the week, adding fun to the Wednesday charter.

Many head boats leave too early … or they are just not flexible.  I propose a 9:00 am meeting time at the small boat harbor in Crisfield leaving about 9:15 to 9:30 and returning 8 hours later.  The charter boats I propose on using (like the Ann Lynn) only take 6 persons, so we will avoid the “take everyone” head boats. The Ann Lynn gives you the bait and offers to lend you her equipment at no charge avoiding carloads of bait, hooks, rods, and reels.

Hugh Hargrove is the captain and owner of the Ann Lynn.  He is friendly, knows the local fishing spots and tries hard for his party to have a safe fun trip.  You may bring your lunch and beverages on the trip.  At the end, he lets his charters use his fish cleaning station.

My name is Tony, so please contact me if you can fish on Wednesday or have a partial group for another weekday.  I can be reached at 301-580-1201 or go to the RESERVATIONS PAGE.
